Sony VP Fergal Gara admitted that the number of pre-order PlayStation 4 is so high that they lack the PlayStation 4 and the unit had to place restrictions on the first day of release.
“The problems we experienced with the pre-order is a very good deal. Amount pre-order it very high, higher than what we’ve seen in the last 20 years,” said Fergal told Official PlayStation Magazine. “We will help the retail stores and suggest that they do not promise consumers who order PlayStation 4 began on 5 August can get the console on the first day.”
This step is done in order to avoid empty promises on the high demand for the PlayStation 4. “Currently we are dealing with a sold-out situation, the problem, but a good problem, but a problem nonetheless his name so we’ll sort it out as best as possible.”
Sony also will hold talks with retail stores on the PlayStation 4 console exactly how much they will get, so they can determine who gets the PlayStation 4 on the first day, and who will get it later.
PlayStation 4 will be released on 15 November 2013 in the United States where it’s been ordered by more than one million gamers.
